Delhi to Udaipur Taxi Tour — 6 Days / 5 Nights

660 km from Delhi • Rajasthan • Complete 6-day itinerary

Udaipur is 660 km from Delhi on NH-48 through Jaipur and Ajmer, and it is the one Rajasthan city that does not feel like desert. Built around Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar, with the City Palace running along the water for nearly half a kilometre, it rewards a slower itinerary than most — a boat to Jag Mandir at sunset does more for a visit than another fort. The Jain temples at Ranakpur, with their 1,444 carved pillars, sit 90 km north and are worth the detour, and Kumbhalgarh's wall, second in length only to the Great Wall of China, is close to them. We usually break the drive down at Pushkar or Ajmer rather than running 660 km in one stretch, which also gives you a second destination for the same fuel.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
