Delhi to Varanasi Taxi Tour β€” 3 Days / 2 Nights

820 km from Delhi β€’ Uttar Pradesh β€’ Complete 3-day itinerary

Varanasi is 820 km from Delhi, almost all of it on the Yamuna Expressway and then the Agra-Lucknow and Purvanchal expressways, which have turned what used to be a punishing overnight run into a long but comfortable day's drive. Kashi is a city built around its ghats, and the rhythm of a visit is set by them β€” the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh in the evening, and the boat ride at dawn when the light comes across the water and the whole riverfront is visible at once. Kashi Vishwanath, rebuilt as a corridor to the river, needs an early start to avoid the longest queues. Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon, is 10 km out and worth half a day. Our drivers know where vehicles can and cannot go in the old city.
